A full-tuition scholarship covering every year of study, awarded to the 15th cohort of Presidential Science Scholars. The programme is overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT (the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning at the time of selection) and administered by the Korea Student Aid Foundation; the certificate is conferred in the name of the President of the Republic of Korea.

Established in 2003, the scholarship selects the strongest science and engineering students on the basis of excellence and potential in their field. In 2017, 409 candidates applied for the domestic track — 374 online and 34 nominated by regional education offices — and 137 were selected, roughly 3 to 1. Domestic scholars receive full tuition and a stipend of KRW 2.5 million per semester through graduation.
